About Us
Our Story
Whitney Point Preschool and Daycare
We started out in 1980 as a small preschool, chartered to serve children ages 3 through 5. Then in 1989, we evolved into the Whitney Point Preschool & Daycare and became a licensed daycare center.
In 1993 we built our facility at 2496 West Main Street. Just eight years later, we added a second building to our campus. Today, these two buildings are the primary locations that children and students come to learn and grow.
In 2014, our Board of Directors voted to purchase a restored parish called Saving Grace, located in the heart of downtown Whitney Point, NY. This preserved landmark acts as a community meeting space and event center.
Our mission is to offer high quality care to the families and children in our community that we serve. Our programs are designed to help children develop their unique pattern of interests and talents.
We are so pleased to have been a part of so many children's lives over the years. We have been lucky enough to serve generations of families. Many of our staff employees attended the center when they were younger, and our entire staff continues the tradition of providing quality care to children and families in our community.

We're A Non-Profit
As a non-profit organization, we focus on using the funds we receive to help us operate, improve our services, and benefit the children and families we serve.
Our Board of Directors ensures our center is operating according to the intended mission and develops plans for the future.
The Board meets approximately every month and supports the center by planning fundraisers, observing operations, setting policy, monitoring finances, and hiring leaders.
